Emulus Van Bibber lived in the home of Alsey and Sarah [van bibber] Woodward in Boone, Missouri during the 1860 census. It states that his name was E. L. Van Bibber ... but this must be Sarah’s half brother living with her family. A guess on my part is that he was using the maiden name of his dead mother [Emelus Susan Leib] to use as one of the letters in his name [note from ccs].
