another source says b. 4 mar., 1808??
In a letter dated St. Charles County, September 19, 1836, to a Jesse VanBibber, a relative of Olive, he (Nathan Boone) wrote, “Our family begins to scatter about.” His eldest daughter, Delinda, lived “high up on the Mississippi River.” One daughter lived “on the Missouri,” while another lived in the “neighborhood.” He did not mention his other eleven children except to say that:
“We lost a daughter Nancy last Fall. She died on 22 October, with a sickness of four days.” Nancy was twenty-two years old when she died. Whether Boone made it home for her burial remains unclear, but he left no further record about the loss of his daughter. The only other glimpse into his family life at this time came with his comment that “Olive has become very fat and can hardly ride.”
