He [William] migrated to the Virginia Colony with his son James around 1622. James was born in England around 1605 and married about 1621 to Sarah Lyttle. Sarah was born 1606 and died 1665 in Virginia.
[James migrated to the Virginia Colony about 1622 with his wife and Father, William, and with a land
patent for 300 acres of the Middle Precinct of the Eastern Shore Line. He established a plantation
in the Tidewater section of Virginia near the Accomack Settlement.

James and Sarah had four sons:
1. William born 1633 in Virginia and died about 1694.
2. John born 1635 in Virginia and died about 1691, married Mary Louise Essix.
3. Robert born 1638 in Virginia and died 1695 in Lancaster County Virginia. He married Mary Sharp, daughter of John Sharp. They are the parents of our ancestor Samuel Hensley born 1660 in Orange County Virginia.
4. James born 1642 in Virginia and died in 1702. He married Sarah Lyttle

Sarah Lyttle was born in 1606 in England. She died in 1665 in Northampton County, Virginia. She married James Hensley in 1632 in England.
They had the following children:
M i William Hensley was born in 1633 in Northampton County, Virginia. He died in 1694.

M iii Robert Hensley was born in 1638 in Northampton County, Virginia. He died in 1695 in Lancaster County, Virginia.
M iv James Hensley was born in 1642 in Northampton County, Virginia. He died in 1705 in Fluvanna County, Virginia.
