Clinton W. Jordan, 77, Weippe, died at 4:35 a.m. Thursday at an Orofino hospital.   He had been in failing health for several years.   He was a retired millworker and had been a resident of Weippe for 44 years.

He was born march 29, 1888 at Jobe, W. Va., the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Jordan.   He grew to maturity at Jobe and was graduated from Whitmore High School there.

He moved to the Weippe area with his parents in 1908.   He was employed as a ratchet setter at a sawmill there.

He married Blanche Ziglar in 1911.   They were later divorced.   The same year, he moved to Winnington, Alta., Canada, where he lived for seven years.

In 1918 he moved to Gilford, Mont., where he lived for a time before returning to Weippe, where he was employed by the L. Cardiff sawmill.   He later worked for the Schmidt Bros. sawmill and for the Hutchins Bros. sawmill at Weippe.   He retired in 1963.

MARRIED IN ARKANSAS

He married Fronie Pederson in Arkansas Dec. 4, 1947.   She survives at the home at Weippe.

Other survivors are two sons, Dwight Jordan and Clem Jordan, both Wenatchee; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Turelson, Seattle; a step-son, Harry Pederson, Clarkston; two step-daughters, Mrs. Mae Bies, Weippe, and Mrs. Fronie Nuxoll, Bend Ore.; two brothers, Sleet Jordan, Lewiston, and Zan Jordan, Orofino; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Snyder, of Seattle, and mrs. Blanche Norman, Akron, Ohio; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at Weippe Saturday at 10 a.m., at Pilgrim Holiness Church.   The Rev. DeVere DeField, pastor, will officiate.   Burial will be at Normal Hill Cemetery at Lewiston.   Gilbert's Funeral Chapel will be in charge.
