Joy Bonner Bullock, 69, Pierce

   Joy Bonner Bullock of Pierce died Thursday, March 12, 2009 in Spokane, WA. She had been in ill health for some time. She was 69.
   Joy was born Jan. 21, 1940 in Orofino to Emmett Carl Bonner and Clara Hillis Pritchard Bonner. She grew up in Pierce and attended school there.
   Joy married Carl L. Bullock March 21, 1956 in Pierce in a ceremony officiated by her father. Joy and Carl lived in Pierce for several years before moving to Longview, WA, where they lived until returning to Pierce in 1999.
   Joy was a homemaker who devoted herself to caring for her family. She was active in her church, singing and playing the piano. She shared the love of Jesus with every person whose life she touched. Her hobbies included sewing and crochet.
   Her husband Carl survives her at the family home in Pierce. She is also survived by sons Carl Emmett, Chadwick Timothy and Christopher Paul, all of Longview, and Daniel Thomas of Orofino; daughters Carlena Joy DeLagrange and Capri Lenae Matzko, both of Longview. brothers Jim, Terry, Tim and Phillip Bonner; sisters Mona Hedges, Joann Hansen and Willi Jo Baron; 18 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
   Joy was preceded in death by her parents, her son Phillip Edmond and her brother Emmett Lee Bonner.
   A viewing was held March 16 at Pine Hills Funeral Chapel in Orofino. Graveside services were held March 17 at Cook’s Cemetery on Upper Fords Creek Road, followed by dinner at the Pierce Community Center.
   Pine Hills Funeral Chapel was in care of arrangements.
