Mrs.
Mary J. McDonald was born in Circleville District of Pendleton County, West Virginia, on April 7, 1849, and died November 27, 1933, at her home near Key, aged 84 years 7 months and 20 days.
She was the daughter of Job and Amanda Nelson, deceased, of Circleville. She leaves to mourn her lose three sons, Job E. McDonald, of Key; Jacob McDonald, of Wayland, Ohio, and Pitman McDonald, of Detroit, Mich., one daughter, Mrs. Anna May of Davis, and one sister, Mrs. Genetta Sheets, of Stokesville, Va., also fifteen grandchildren and eight or more great grandchildren.
She was a woman of good business qualities and owned and operated one of the best farms in the North Fork section. Few women, if any, in the county ever worked harder and made, spent and saved more than she did. She was ever ready to help anyone that lived in accordance as good citizens.
Burial services were conducted at the home of the decreased by Rev. F. S. Racey, to a large congregation who assembled to pay the last tribute of respect. The body was laid to rest in the Hinkle burial ground to await the ralling of our crucified, risen, ascended and coming King.

Harper Gap - News reached us this week of the death of Seymour McDonald. Mr. McDonald was at one time a resident of our county his home being near Macksville, but of late years had made his home with relatives near Flintstone, MD where his death occurred.

Macksville - Everybody was deeply shocked to hear of the deaths of Johnson Dolly, Mrs. Geo. Grady and Seymour McDonald.

Seymour McDonald, 73 years old, a farmer living near Oldtown, died on Thursday night at his home of infirmities. He is survived by a wife. Burial will take place Sunday afternoon at Spring Gap.
[Seymour McDonald was the husband of Mary Jane Nelson. Mary Jane was the daughter of Jobe Nelson and Amanda (Wilfong) Nelson.]
