Michael Carr was born about 1757 in VA. He obtained land in 1784 from Lord Fairfax. He died in Hardy County in 1844. Although he died there, many of his children moved to OH. He was married twice. It was the children from the first marriage who moved to OH. The children from the second marriage stayed and lived and died in VA. The first wife is unknown, at this time. The second wife was Mary Gilmore.
