Phyllis Nelmark
Phyllis Irene Shultz Nelmark of Longview went to be with her Lord and Saviour Aug. 27, 2012.
She was born to Guy and Edith Walston in Deer Park, Wash., Aug. 31, 1924.
She married Bob Shultz in Walla Walla in 1942 and moved to Longview in 1950. Bob passed away in 1977, and she married Hjalmer Nelmark in 1981. Hjalmer passed away in 1993.
Phyllis loved the Lord, her family and her church family. For many years she served the Lord as a member of First Baptist Church in Castle Rock. She was always thinking of others first, willing to lend a hand to the needy, encouraging those around her with positive words and always praying for her family and others. She will be remembered as loving, caring, supportive and generous.
For the last 10 years Phyllis suffered from Alzheimers. During the last four years she had the most wonderful care at Extended Family Adult Home in Battle Ground, Wash. The family cant thank Gabriel, Maria, Ivan and Yanna enough for the love and support they gave her. Phyllis responded to them and loved them as well.
Phyllis was preceded in death by four brothers, Guy Jr., Lyle, Don and Gene Walston.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol (Monte) Fulbright; two stepsons, Whitey and Jack (Sharon) Nelmark; four grandchildren, Greg (Lori) Nelmark, Trisha Hadlock, Lisa (Curtis) Huber and Curt (Jodi) Fulbright; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd(Doris) Walston and Bob Walston; two sisters, Virginia (Myrle) Gipson and Joann (Lydell) Peterson; a sister-in-law, Virla Walston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held.
