Donald Dean Walston, 81, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away February 13, 2004 and went to be with our Lord.
He was born in Kendrick, Idaho on February 15, 1923 to Guy A. and Edith I. Walston.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Castle Rock since 1974. Don entered the U. S. Army in 1943, serving in Northern France, the Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe, receiving his honorable discharge on November 12, 1945, at Fort Bliss, Texas.
Don went to work for Weyerhaeuser/Pulp and retired in 1984 after 34 years of employment. Don married Virla L. (Hair) Walston on February 14, 1946 and would have celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary on February 14, 2004.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lyle and Guy Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virla; his children, Sandy and Leland Agren, Don and Elke, Ron and Connie, DeAnna and Leslie VanDolah; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Doris, Gene and Johny and brother Bobby; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Myrle Gipson, JoAnn and Lydell Peterson and sister Phyllis Nelmark.
The viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at Hubbard Funeral Home in Castle Rock.
A Memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Castle Rock.
