In the name of God Amen. The third day of May, I, Thomas White of Randolph and State of Virginia being sick in body but of good and sound memory thanks be to Almighty God, There is my wife Abigail is to hold the house furniture one third of the cattle, there is to be an equal divide of the rest of the cattle between my son William White and my son Thomas White, my son David White is to hold a certain tract of land lying on the Middle Mountain Hardy County if he pays eight dollars for chancy [charge] to lawyer Brown the horses and cattle is to stay together if my son David chooses to stay and work with his mother and Brethren the Increase of them is to be divided to each of them an equal share if David chooses to move there is a young Iron Gray Stud that is his share if he moves away out of the old Stock of cattle and six pounds coming from fansler, the debts is to be paid as witness my hand, Thomas White

121Thomas John White III, born about 17?? in England, and died after 1806 in Job, Randolph County, West Virginia. He married (1) Elizabeth Tabb. She is a daughter of William Jr and Unknown (?) Tabb and was born ?. Her family was from, York Virginia. He then married (2) Abigail Grubb on November 04, 1800. She was a daughter of Joseph and Unknown Grubb and was born in 1782 . She was of Cherokee Indian Blood and a slave of Thomas and Rebecca Whitney-Smith of Klamath Falls, OR . Her father Joseph was a runaway slave. After Thomas she married Joseph Summerfield on December 18, 1803 in Randolph County, West Virginia. The ceremony was performed by Robert Maxwell., he was born about 1750/54 in Birmingham, Warwick, England.
