I have information on your Lydia Lamphere Jones. Her father was Samuel Lamphere also used several spellings. Her mothers name was Mary - Samuel 2nd wife. I have info on some of the siblings as well. and a few of the grandchildren. I have much documented on this line. I have been working on this line for many reasons for a long time. I have been working for the last several years to get Samuel his Rev. head stone. Which I have finally succeeded and will hopefully be put on his grave as soon as spring arrives here ~ Washington D.C. has given me their word! Are you a descent of this line? I have researched this family for many years in hopes of finding his family as I have never been able to rule out him in other issues related to my Lamphere Line. I hope you to be a descend as I have never been able to locate any alive. Please let me know if you descend from Lydia and Stephen!! I will explain later if this is your line. I also have documentation of Lydias father being Samuel.
Sincerely, Dee A. Reeves

. . . 773John Calkins came to Columbia in 1817, from Burlington, exchanging his possession there with Samuel Lamphere for his in Columbia.  Mr. Calkins was born in 1790, and came with his father, Moses Calkins, from Duanesburg, Schoharie Co., N. Y., to Sugar Creek in 1794, his father having preceded the family the year before, and prepared a home for them. . . . [therefore, it looks like Samuel Lamphere came to Burlington Township around 1817 . . . or he just added to his land holdings??] [There are hints that Samuel was a pioneer of Columbia Township . . . 774
