POSTMAN BRANNON JORDAN DIES

Brannon G. Jordan, 54, a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service office at Lewiston, died at 9:10 a.m. Monday at the Orchards Nursing Home of cancer.   He had worked for the post office since 1952.

He was born Dec. 6, 1920 at Weippe to John and Icy Jordan.   The family moved to Lewiston in 1927, and Jordan had lived here since then, except for a five-year period of service with the U.S. Army.

After his discharge from the Army in 1945, he joined the Lewiston Fire Department.   He left the fire department in 1951, and joined the postal service the following year.   He served in the Idaho National Guard from 1961 to 1965.

He married Arleen A. Barnett at Lewiston Jan. 20, 1956.   She survives at the family home at 3413 12th St., Lewiston.   He had been married and divorced earlier.

Survivors in addition to his widow, include a son, Brannon J. Jordan of Lewiston; two daughters, Kelly of Spokane and Noel of Seattle; two step-daughters, Connie Bilby of Spokane and Frances Weddle of Lake Havasu, Ariz; a sister, Marjorie Rosenau of Mesa, Wash.; three borthers, John T. Jordan of Long Creek, Ore.; Harry C. Jordan of Eugene, Ore., and I.C. "Bud" Jordan of Lewiston, and 11 grandchildren.   A brother, Jack Jordan, preceded him in death in 1974.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Malcom's Brower-Wann Memorial Chapel, with Rev. J. Stanley Lyman officiating.   The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday.   The American Legion Lewis-Clark post will conduct graveside services at Normal Hill Cemetery.

The family suggests that those wishing to do so may make contributions to the Tri-State Memorial Hospital Memorial Chapel.
