Solmon Carr was born about 1766 in VA. He went west about 1800 and can be found in Mercer and Delaware counties of OH. Some reports also put him in Pickaway county. He was married to Priscilla Bean. Most of the evidence for this family comes from the Clan McBean family records. She was apparently the mother of all of his children. He was married again in OH, but the name of the second wife is unknown at this time. He died in 1847 in Delaware county, OH.

Solomon came to Ohio in 1817 from South Branch in Virginia. Lived about three miles from the mouth of Mill Creek in Delaware County, OH.
