840Daniel Boon, (Jesse, Israel, Squire, George 1-3), was born on Dec. 1, 1777, in North Carolina.
Daniel was recorded in 1826, as being a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church, McMinn Co., TN, along with his father, Jesse, and some siblings. Before and after that date, there is strong evidence, including two land records, that he lived and probably died, in Wayne Co., KY.
He (1st) m. Nancy __ on Jan. 1, 1800, NC. Daughter, Mary Polly, was born in 1801, in Buncombe, NC., and "was an only child" (Source: letter 1916, written by her son, Wm F. McKinney, Jr.).

Son of Squire Boone and Ann White of Madison Co., KY.
His date of birth was taken from a handwritten family page of a very old Bible purchased by Mr. William Alfred McKinne in Sterns Co., KY. A copy is on file with The Boone Society.
Daniel Boon first married on Jan. 1, 1800, in Buncombe Co., NC, to Mrs. Nancy Clarke Moore, daughter of Beverly Clarke, and the widow of Andrew Moore of Wilkes Co., NC. They had daughter, Mary A. "Polly," who married William Franklin McKinney, Sr.
(The identities of Daniel and Nancy have been shared and recorded incorrectly by several Boone authors.)
Widowed, Daniel second married Elizabeth "Betsy" Durham on Aug. 19, 1810, in Buncombe. They migrated to Wayne Co., KY, in 1811, with her parents, Mastin and Martha Coffey Durham, where they raised their two known children: Nancy Boon (Thomas Sherrill), and Jesse Boon.
Daniel died sometime after his last land deed transaction of April 8, 1843. His date and place of death, and burial are unknown.
