Note:
Sarah Catherine 'Cat' as my grandmother was known was married to William T Tirey first. She married Sawyer after being widowed many years, in 1940 or there about. The marriage did not last but a few months and she divorced him without my father even being aware of the marriage or divorce. He was away in the service and would have been stunned that his mother even remarried.
My grandmother and grandfather Tirey had John, Tom, Frank, Zora, Bessie, Jesse and my father Ray Isaac Tirey. Uncle John served in WW1 and my dad in WW11. Aunt Zora was eighteen when my father was born and told me she was so embrassed that her mother had another baby at her age. Well considering that Aunt Zora was born in 1900 I imagine the eighteen years made her perspective understandable.
