Hay cuz! How things with you? Very cold here . . . about 9 above. Haven’t heard from you. Hope everything is ok. I have just been out of the hospital for only a week . . . had a heart attack. I’m a little better now. Well, I have some more on our family.
Thomas [Pritchard] and Lucy McDonald had seven kids. He built a road in Salt Creek Township in Hocking County, Ohio. Thomas was shot in the back and died where there was disput over where to put the line for the road. Thomas had turn away from the farmer after he said he was going for the sheriff and the farmer shot and killed him. Lucy died in 1940.
Their kids were Larkin, b. 1879; Ammon, b. 1880; Leeman & Sherman twins b. 1881 Della b.1887 Elsie b.1892 Hugh b.1895. I remember Larkin, Leeman Sherman, Elsie, Della at the reunion. I wish I had a tape recorder then to get all the old story but then kids didn't want to here about olden days now my olden days are here. And on Hugh:
Hugh Jesse Pritchard, born in Hocking County, Ohio on July 7, 1895 he married Iva Mae Redefer and they had 3 kids. Hugh was killed in Sandusky, Ohio where he was employed by NW Railroad. He was mauled and killed by 2 men. It was later determined that Hugh was mistaken for another man. Hugh was killed after coming out of a bar after getting his paycheck cashed. He crawled to the caboose of the where he died there never took his money his total pay was 212.00 for a month, good money then. One of the men was set free and the other died in the Ohio Penitentiary when it caught on free. Hugh and Iva Mae had 3 kids:
Darold Veron, b. October 23,1917; Alberta, b. November, 25 1919; Lowell, b. October 29, 1921.
