A.Y. Lambert, son of James H. Lambert, born 1853; married 1875 to Perie, daughter of Jackson Shoonover, of Randolph county. He is a farmer, living on Dry Fork, 23 miles from St. George; he has taught three schools on No. 2 certificates, as may be seen by referring to another chpter of this book. Children; Carr E., Flora A. and Denver.

"Alfred Yokum Lambert was a teacher, stockman, and farmer. In physical appearance he was small, height about five feet eight inches, and weight approximately one hundred and fifty pounds. He possessed marvelous muscular activity with reflexes alert and timed with precision.
In 1875 A. Y. Lambert married Peary Schoonover, daughter of Jackson Schoonover. After her death, Elizabeth Harper, daughter of John Harper, became his second wife.
