Juanita Cipriano Capozzi
Birth:
Mar. 8, 1917
Death:
Feb. 28, 2006

Juanita Capozzi, 88, wonderful mother and sister, passed away Feb. 28, 2006.

Juanita was born March. 8, 1917, in Scranton, Pa., to Michael and Frances (Magnoni) Cipriano. When our mom was a little girl, her brother Albert and she won many talent contests at the theaters around Akron. To this day she could still tap.

Mom made many rosaries by hand. She would sit for hours and cut the cord and wrap the beads around her fingers--there are many people around the world who are praying to the Blessed Mother on the rosaries she made.

She worked 32 years at Goodyear. She worked many jobs there, but the one she talked about most was working in the balloon room for the blimps.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church for over 55 years. Until the past few years, she would go Saturday mornings and help with the making of meatballs for their spaghetti dinners. She and our father were always a fixture at the different functions, always helping out for long hours. Juanita was a eucharistic minister, a member of the Columbian Guild, St. Monica Society, and she was voted Woman of the Year by the Knights of Columbus. She was always there for her kids and showed them unconditional love. Even up until last year she mowed her own grass and shoveled her snow.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Giacinto; son, Mark; and brother, Albert. She is survived by her daughters, Angela (Robert) Miller of Cuyahoga Falls and Mary Madlyn Fuller of Akron; sons, Daniel of California and Carl (Lori) of Pennsylvania; sister, Betty Dzuris; grandchildren, Brian, Lisa, Mara, Melissa, Angelo, Anthony, Johnny; six great-grandchildren, also many other loving family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m., at St. Anthony Church. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. Main St., AKRON. Her final resting place will be Northlawn Memorial Gardens. (Hennessy-Bagnoli, AKRON, 330-376-4251.)
