Notes for John (Spouse 1)
. . . He was a notorious Tory during the Rev. War. He never enounced his allegiance to King George. He could always be found in jail, accused of treason. He didn't have sense enough to keep his mouth shut about it and was apparently murdered during the waning days of the Revolutiion and the body abandoned in the woods. They found bullet-ridden clothing but the body had been "et by the wolves". This was from John Price Carr, a grandson of Martin Luther.
