Marie Constance Philibert's father, Gabriel Philibert, was a brother of Joseph Philibert I, (b. 1769, Maskinonge, Canada ), my husbands GGGG-grandfather. Gabriel & Joseph's father was Jean-Baptiste Philibert II. Joseph's son, Joseph Augustine Philibert was born in St. Louis in 1804. He was one of the first white settlers of Stone Co. Mo., and was a trader with the Delaware Indians at the James Fork Trading Post. He married the daughter of one of the Yoachums, also first settlers of Stone Co.
We had always heard that there was a connection to the Boones, but never knew quite how, until we gathered up a lot of family documents and , of course did a lot of research.
