Snyder Family 2016 - Person Sheet
Notes for Steven L. Roy
Good morning,
I too am a descendant of Capt. Sampson Snyder and his 12. Briefly, my great grandfather was Job Snyder. His daughter, Zerna was my grandmother who was the wife William Henry Harrison Roy. One of their sons, William L. Roy, was my father. I am Steven L. Roy and live in Walla Walla, WA. After my grandfather died Zerna married Ora (Shorty) Price and continued to live in the Weippe/Pierce Idaho area. Zerna has one remaining son who lives in Orofino, Idaho.
Just recently I began to review my copy of Carrie Harman Roy’s book, Captain Snyder and his Twelve of West Virgina. After doing a search on the internet I learned that Job Snyder is buried in Weippe, Idaho. My great grandmother, Linnie Lants Snyder died in Orofino in 1945. The next time I visit the Orofino area I plan to locate their actual burial sites.
What I find most interesting is the number of Sampson Snyder’s descendants living who live or did live in the Idaho/Washington area.
