Debra Louise Story, 57, Lewiston
Debby passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at home. She was born Dec. 21, 1953, to Charles H. Piper and Louise Snyder Piper.
She grew up in Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1972.
Debby married Daniel Lee Story at Lewiston in 1977. Besides raising their three children, the couple opened their home to foster children for many years.
She was a member of The Church of New Hope.
Debby is survived by her husband, Daniel L. Story; her children: sons, Neil and wife Sarah Story, and Ryan Story, and daughter, Amber Story; her parents, Charles and Louise Piper; brothers, Doug and Gina Piper, and Darren Piper; and two grandchildren, Ransom Story and Renee Story. All are of Lewiston. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Russell J. Snyder, Emma M. Weber Snyder, Charles S. Piper and Goldie E. Standish Piper.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Normal Hill Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at The Church of New Hope, 1423 Powers Ave., both in Lewiston. Pastor Jim Osborn will officiate.
