Alice Elaine Wallace, Lewiston, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. She was 73.
She was born Oct. 5, 1936 to Russell and Emma Snyder. Alice attended Lewiston school and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1954.
After graduation she married Robert J. Wallace in June 1954. They were married 54 years when Robert passed away in July 2006.
Alice lived in Lewiston all her life and worked as a secretary for First Security Bank and later of Potlatch Corp on and off until her retirement.
She was an active member of the Lewiston Jaycees and Jayceettes. She loved bowling and softball. She also loved to watch her children and grandchildren in their activities.
Alice is survived by her children, son Mike Wallace and daughter Cindy Memmott; eight siblings, Edna Leachman, St. Maries, Georgia Grimm, Louise Piper and Marilyn Luther all of Lewiston, Raymond Snyder of Juliaetta, Gordon Snyder of Orofino, Glenna Chapman of Portland, OR and Sharon Nelson of Brookings, OR.
Also surviving her are five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Russell and Emma; husband Robert Wallace, two brothers Ralph and Vernon Snyder.
A private immediate family gathering took place Friday, Oct. 1. Malcom’s Brower-Wann Funeral Home of Lewiston was in care of arrangements.
