FRASER--Friends and relatives of the O.J. Jordan family were grieved when it was learned that their little daughter, Blanche Helen, had suddenly passed away as the result of the poisonous bite of wood ticks, which had become imbedded in the child's head.
The parents not knowing what was causing the paralytic condition of the child, called Dr. Horswill Thursday evening who soon located the cause of her condition and with a fine comb removed the ticks but so much of the poison had entered into the blood that death came early Friday morning.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the Fraser cemetery. Rev. Poolton at the Methodist Church officiating. "Precious Jewels" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" were sung. There was a large crowd of friends and relatives, several coming from Fords Creek, where the family recently resided. The floral offerings were numerous.
Blanche Helen was born April 16, 1919 and died May 11, 1923, age 4 years and 25 days.
