son of Martin Kauffman, Sr. and Barbara Stover (Daniel's 1st cousin)
who was daughter of Jacob Stover and Sarah Boone
who was daughter of George Boone and sister of Squire Boone and aunt of Daniel

I think this makes us 7th cousins, but I'm not positive on the math. It looks like we share George Boone as a 7th great grandfather. I am Daniel's 1st cousin, 6 times removed.

Excellent work on your tracing of the Boone lineage. I bumped into your genealogical work at Ancestry.Com -- looking for SAR support for Martin's (Jr's.) service in Michael Reader's Co. of Virginia Militia. Both he and another of my direct ancestors, Christian Grove, were in that company.

If you have any other insights or anecdotes on my early Kauffman/Coffman or other lines of my ancestors, (or of ours) I'd much appreciate such information. I'm really just getting started in serious genealogical study with my dad's line.
