Ebenezer J. Flanagan, a retired Tucker county farmer, died Wednesday, March 8, in Tucker County Hospital, where he had been a patient for several years.
Born in Grant county, Mr. Flanagan was a son of the late Jacob G. and Rebecca (Goldizen) Flanagan. He came to this county when a small boy and had resided in Parsons for the past 27 years.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth C. (Carr) Flanagan, survivors include two sons, Lester, Hendricks, and McClelland Flanagan, Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Lipscomb, Charleston, and Miss Stella Flanagan, a school teacher in Hamrick; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were held in the Greenlief Funeral Home with Rev. W.A. O'Dell, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Parsons Cemetery.

Note:
would like to add that Ebenezer and Elizabeth Carr did have one child and his name was Lester Flanagan born Aug 26,1891 died sept 17,1970 and burial at Parson's City Cemetery. Lester was married to Levie Harper. They did have one son named Paul A. Born Aug 13,1911 and died Dec 26,1945 in Tucker west Virginia.
