Benny L. Cooper, 65
Benny Lee Cooper, 65, of Woodstock, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Cooper was born May 3, 1943, in Onego, W.Va., and was the son of the late Ernie Benjamin and Daisy Painter Cooper.
He was a self-employed contractor and developer in home construction.
His wife, Judy Phillips Cooper, survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lora Cooper Loving of Edinburg and Julie Cooper Wright of Woodstock; a sister, Olive Armentrout of Harrisonburg; three brothers, Gene Cooper of Linville, Jerry Cooper of Woodstock and Harry Cooper of Edinburg; and three grandchildren.
The Rev. Wendell Shurtz will conduct a Celebration of Life service 3 p.m. Saturday at Wakeman’s Grove Church of the Brethren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Valley Funeral Service in Bowman’s Crossing.
