I came across your web site looking for more information on Adonijah Jordan. My husband (different last name) has Jordan's on his side of the family and I was looking to make sure there wasn't a relationship. None found (that's a relief!)
I am Michael Icen's daughter. He married Jo Smith, b. 1942 (daughter of Gerald Smith and Elizabeth Stokes) December 28, 1060 and I was born January 1962. My brother Darren Kenneth came along in April 1965. My parents divorced around 1970 and my father remarried in '72 to Suzette Griffin. They had three children, Sean Torrence 1973, Topaz Chantal 1975? and Christopher Kenneth. I was 15 when Chris was born so that would make the year 1977. I have more information on my generation at home and am happy to email later this evening. I have some dates but not all.
Dennis Richard (eldest son of Torrey) m. Helen Benoit (year?) and had 6 children. I have birthdates for only one but should be able to locate the rest. Shelton, Maurice, Leo (b. Jan. 1962, 2 days before me) Doreen, Marlene and Dennis Jr. Dennis Sr. divorced Helen and then remarried (mane?), adopting 2 children and having 6 more with current wife. I'm sorry I am so far removed from this uncle that I don't have names or dates for his 2nd family.
Thomas Lewis m. Ge Smith, b. 1944 (younger sister to Jo Smith, my mother) and had three children. Lavender Gay 1964, April May 1966? And Thomas Gerald 1973. I can verify these dates at a later time.
I also have copies of clippings taken from the family bible and article on Adonijah Jordan, or rather a grandson of his, and a blurb about George Quale Pritchard. It amazes me looking at old photo's how strong the resemblances are from generation to generation. If you would like I can scan these thing in and email them to you.
The rest of my family resides in the Seattle area, I followed my husband to Dayton, OH, graduated from Wright State University and am now Licensing Manager for the Victoria Theatre Association. Always homesick for the Pacific Northwest and family we get back for a vist every couple of years.
