Notes for Isaac Johnson “Ike” Teter
The story as I heard it from Ike's niece and Grandnephew, (Edith Jordan Gordon Kerns and her son, Gerald Gordon) is that:
Isaac   "Ike" Teter, Jr. was   nicknamed "2-gun", because it has been said that he usually carried two guns for his own protection.   He was a Moonshiner and the Feds had been after him for years for his illegal whiskey making.   In the Era of prohibition, this was a serious offense.   One day, he went down to the crick (creek) to get some water, and was returning, carrying a five gallon bucketful of water in each hand,
when Sheriff E. S. Duckworth told him to "drop them".   Ike, Jr. refused, and it was Sheriff Duckworth,
accompanied by State Policeman, Arnold Moore, who shot Ike Teter, Jr. in the back and killing him.
Ike Teter, Jr. died on September 28th, 1925.
