Lena Elva Bonner, 96, of Erwin, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, in Heartland of Preston County, Kingwood.
She was born April 5, 1908, in Dryfork, a daughter of the late Robert and Lottie Wolford Pennington.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Erwin United Methodist Church.
She was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Willing Workers.
She loved to bake, quilt and crochet.
She is survived by two daughters and spouses, Wanda and Lester Sisler of Rowlesburg and Joan and Eugene Faris of Westmont, Ill.; a brother, Leonard Pennington of Ridgeley; five grandchildren and spouses, Howard and Diane Sisler of Delta, Pa., Tim and Pam Sisler of Baltimore, Md., Brada and Don Barlow of Kingwood, Jody and Neil Kelly of Boca Raton, Fla., and Eugene and Rachel Faris of Lake Zurich, Ill.; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Bonner, in 1980; four sisters; and five brothers.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the Browning Funeral Home, Burke Chapel in Rowlesburg, and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8, where funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Roy Mick at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9.
