1006Coy Jesse Bonner, 76, of Hendricks, passed away Jan. 21, at his home. His death was attributed to cancer.
He was born Nov. 27, 1931, at Hendricks, a son of the late Ira Lakin and Lena Christine Carr Bonner. On Nov. 29, 1963, he was married to Patsy Joan Bonner, who survives.
Also surviving is one son, Terry Coy Bonner and his wife Pamela V. Bonner of Hambleton; three grandchildren, Ashley R. Bonner of Parsons, and Heather B. Bonner and Taylor B. Bonner who live at home. One brother, Don C. Bonner of Parsons.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
He attended school in Tucker County and worked for the Department of Highways for 25 years as a heavy equipment operator. He retired in Jan. 1994. He also worked for the Penn Line Service of Scottsdale, Pa. for several years. He served in the United States Army as a sergeant during the Korean War. He attended the Sycamore Grove Church of Bull Run and was a Pentecostal by faith.
Friends were received at the Hinkle Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. The service will be held at the Hinkle Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m.on Jan. 23 with the Rev. Pat Cassidy officiating. Burial will be at Flanagan Hill Cemetery in Red Creek. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
