Henry Harper
Henrry Harper, 68, farmer, of Chatham, died Tuesday at 9:45 p.m. in his home of a heart ailment with which he had suffered the past few months.
He was born Sept. 19, 1871 in Randolph Co., Va., his parents being Jacob and Susan (McDonald) Harper.   His wife, Clara Harper, preceded him in death July 20, 1936, and he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Dagler, Mrs. Mayme Bonner, and Mrs. Charles Phillips of Newark; two sons, Snowden of Chatham and Seymour of Newark, 33 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; also 11 brothers and 9 sisters, who reside in W.Va.
Mr. Harper was a member of the Presbyterian church.
The body will be moved to the home of his son, Seymour Harper, 162 South 32nd street, tonight and services will be held there Saturday at 2 p.m., with burial in Wilson cemetery.   Funeral directors, Criss Brothers.

Mrs. Henry Harper
Mrs. Clara Harper, 68, wife of Henry Harper, died Monday in the home in Chatham.
She was born April 9, 1868, in West Virginia, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. George W. Bland.
Besides her husband she leaves the following children: Mrs. Dottie Dagler, Mrs. Russell Bonner, and Seymour Harper of Newark; Snowden Harper of Chatham, and Miss Hazel Harper of the home; 32 grandchildren.   Three children, Casper, Ulra and Lillian are deceased, also two sisters.   A brother, Stewart Bland and two sisters, Mrs. Zella Harmon and Mrs. Elizabeth Huffman, all of West Virginia, also survive.
Mrs. Harper was a member of the Methodist church of Chatham.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the home, with Rev. George Hughes officiating and burial will be made in Wilson cemetery.   Funeral directors, Criss Brothers.
