Esther Blanche Parsons Olinger, 58, of Dorcas, W.Va., died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Olinger was born Feb. 11, 1949, in Petersburg, W.Va., and was a daughter of the late Adam Miles Parsons Jr. and Trixie Reel Parsons.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Petersburg, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Samuel D. Knick Sr., and James Olinger Sr.
Survivors include her husband, Luther B. Scott; a son, Samuel David "Jay" Knick Jr. of Petersburg, W.Va.; a daughter, Candy Wolfe of Keyser, W.Va.; two sisters, Betty Parsons of Alaska and Pricilla Parsons of Dorcas, W.Va.; four brothers, Amos Parsons, Miles Parsons, Andy Parsons and James Parsons, and two grandchildren.
The Rev. Dr. James Ash will conduct the funeral 10 a.m. Friday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, W.Va. Burial will be at Mount Rose Cemetery, Glade Spring, Va.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the family, c/o Schaeffer Funeral Home.
