My name is Bruce Jones and my family and I are trying to fill in some blanks with our family tree. I am a direct descendant of Conley Jones of Maquon, IL. Conley was my Grandfather’s (Robert Arthur Jones) Great-Grandfather. We know that Stephen and Lyda Jones of Oswego, NY were Conley’s parents. We also know that Phineas and Hannah Jones were Stephen's parents and that Jonathan Jones (wife Deborah) of Killingsworth, Middlesex, Connecticut was the father of Phineas. That is where we are stuck and from the looks of your family tree, you probably ran into the same dead end.

I cannot find a birth date on Jonathon Jones or a maiden name for Deborah. I think they were married in Connecticut so there should be records for that. Also, I see that Jonathan died in Benson, Vermont in 1803 so there should be at least a grave marker there. Have you obtained any further information on the Jones family recently?
