Notes for CYRUS LESTER HALTERMAN:
Cyrus L. Halterman, 79, of Scherr, died Saturday in Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser. He had been ill for four years.
Born in Franklin, he was a son of the late James and Arbellin (Simmons) Halterman. He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertie (Kight) Halterman; a son Arthur E. Halterman, Laurel Dale; a daughter, Mrs.   Opal Cannon, Keyser; a sister, Mrs. Etta Boswell, Keyser; six brothers, Charles Halterman, Luke; Opie Halterman, Elk Garden; Garland Halterman and Branson Halterman, both of Scherr; Joseph Halterman, Keyser; and Oscar Halterman, Lahmansville; and five grandchildren.
Services were conducted Monday at the Rogers Funeral Home with the Rev. Levi J. Ziegler and the Rev. C. H. Cameron officiating.
Interment was in Queens Point Cemetery, Keyser

Keyser---Mrs. Bertie V. Halterman, 78, formerly of Scherr, W. Va., died last night at the Pulliam Nursing Home in Keyser, where she had resided for a year.
Born at White Pine, W. Va., she was a daughter of the late Michael and Sarah (Kight) Kight. Her husband, Cyrus L. Halterman, died in 1961.
Mrs. Halterman was a member of the Oak Dale Church of the Brethren near Scherr.
Surviving are a son, Arthur E. Halterman, Laurel Dale, W. Va., and a daughter, Mrs. Opal Cannon, Keyser, five grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
The body is at the Rogers Funeral Home where friends will be received after 7 p.m. today.
Services will be conducted there Sunday at 2 p.m. by Rev. George H. Jeffrey and burial will be in Queens Point Cemetery.
