Elizabeth “Betty” Rachel Harman214, 81, of Harman, passed away March 11, 2006, in Davis Memorial Hospital at Elkins.
She was born Feb. 20, 1925, at Deerfield, N.J., a daughter of the late John Hummel and Olive Tash Camp Nichols.  Her husband, Warren Gale Harman, preceded her in death in 1995.
She is survived by three daughters, Sheryl and Bruce Hartley of Clarks Summit, Pa., Phyllis (and Tim) Turner of Parsons and Sharon Harman of Harman; two sisters, Marjorie (and Curtis) Pompper of New Castle, Del. and Carol Schweitzer of Bridgeton, N.J.; sister-in-law, Ruthaleen (and Bill) Edwards of Cumberland, Md.; two grandchildren, Scott Hartley and Krista (and John) Weber; one great-grandchild, Sydney Weber; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dawn Marie Harman; three brothers, Kenneth, Edward and Horace; and one sister-in-law, Eva Cooper.
Mrs. Harman worked as a mail order clerk for Sears in Bridgeton, N.J., and for a short time as a clerk at the Harman post office. She was a member of Harman Church of the Brethren and a member of CBWF.
Friends were received at Harman Church of the Brethren on Tuesday, March 14, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Funeral services will be at the church on Wednesday, March 15, 11 a.m. with Rev. John Mowers, Rev. Joe Mininger, Rev. Allen Crosten and Sister Mary Ella Morrison officiating. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
