1006Lola Kathleen Lawrence Pennington, 83, of Hendricks and more recently a resident of Conover, NC, died April 11, at the Catawba Memorial Hospital at Hickory, NC. She had been in declining health.
She was born Sept. 21, 1920, at Lanesville, the daughter of the late James Monroe Lawrence and Goldie Marie Pennington. She was married to Junior Allen Pennington, who preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 2003.
Surviving are a son, Sheldon K. (and Kathy) Pennington of Winchester, VA; three daughter, Sharon L. Brown of Conover, N.C., Delores J. (and The Rev. George) Keenan of Port Royal, SC, and Kathy C. (and James T.) Hanna, of Fort Ashby; two brothers, Erroll “Keith” (and Marty) Lawrence of Elkins and Samuel (and JoAnn) Lawrence of Belington; three sisters, Althea (and David T.) Judy, and Charlotte (and Otto) Pennington all of Elkins, and Barbara Sue (and Bill) Berry of Hambleton; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Jack Lawrence; two sisters, Maxine Minge and Gladys Roy; and a grandson, John William Brown.
She attended the one-room school at Lanesville. She was a mother and homemaker. She attended the Hambleton Pentecostal Church of God and the Keyser Assembly of God Church.
The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Wednesday, April 14 at 11 am.. The Rev. George Keenan will officiate and interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman.

LOLA KATHLEEN LAWRENCE PENNINGTON, age 83 years, a resident of Hendricks, WV., and more recently a resident of Conover, North Carolina, departed this life Sunday, April 11, 2004 at the Catawba Memorial Hospital at Hickory, North Carolina. She had been in declining health.
