Lorren Kalar Lambert, 85 of 236 Taylor St., Staunton, VA, died May 11, in Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville, VA.
Lorren was born Dec. 21, 1918, in Hendricks, the son of the late Bess Kalar Lambert and James Herman Lambert.  He was married in 1941 to Irene Phyllis Bonner of Clarksburg in Monterey, VA. They celebrated 63 years of marriage on June 17, 2003.
Survivors inlcude two sons Lorren “Lanny” Lambert II (and Elaine Cooperman) of Silver Spring, MD, and Jim (and DeDe) Lambert of Elkins; a daughter, Susan (and Lou) Manos of Staunton, VA: five grandchildren, Josh Lambert of Raleigh, NC and Lindsay Lambert of West Palm Beach, FL, Michael (and Summer) Manos of Midlothian, VA., Chris Manos of Richmond, VA, and Andrew Manos of Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by a loving niece, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Lambert graduated from Parsons High School in 1936 and West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1940. He was employed by the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company  in Newport News, VA, and served in the US Navy and Marines Medical Corp. during World War II.
He was a professional photographer in Parsons until 1946, when he and his father and brother, J. Kenton Lambert, established Parsons Motor Sales. The business was destroyed by fire in 1948, and in 1949 they formed the Lambert Chevrolet Co. This business was operated for 43 years and was a highly respected and successful dealership.
While a resident of Parsons, Lorren was an active member of Parsons Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon, Elder and choir member. He was a member of the Tucker County Historical Society, Kiwanis Club and supported many community activities. He was a founding member of the Holly Meadows Country Club and was an avid golfer.
After moving to Staunton in 1996, Mr. Lambert became an active member of First Presbyterian Church where he was honored to serve as president of the Adult Bible Study class.
He was an accomplished and well-known collector of stoneware and antique furnishings. He was a man of many talents and interests and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
The memorial service for Lorren was conducted at the First Presbyterian Church in Staunton, VA, by the Rev. Randy Harrison on Saturday, May 15 followed by a reception. At the request of the deceased, the body was cremated. Arrangements for the memorial service were handled by Henry Funeral Home. 
The family requests that any donations be made to the Parsons Presbyterian Church, Parsons.
