1947Howard William Wilfong, 64, of Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Sunday, December 16, 1984, in Allegheny Regional Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past year.
Mr. Wilfong was retired from the Black and Decker Company in Hampstead, Maryland, in 1979.
Born October 6, 1920, in Cass, he was a son of the late Cam and Greta Mae Carr Wilfong.
In 1971 he was united in marriage to Thelma Keaton, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Benghan, of New Freedom, Pennsylvania; three sons, Charles and Michael Wilfong, of Baltimore, Maryland, Steven Wilfong, at home; on sister, Mrs. Cleo Cave of Valley Head; one brother, Russell Wilfong, of Baltimore; several grandchildren.
One brother, James Wilfong, preceded him in death.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U. S. Army. He was a Protestant by faith.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at the Valley Head Cemetery by the Rev. Scott McCloud and the Rev. Marshall Williams.
