1944Cleo “Glee” Cave, 86, a former resident of Valley Head and a patient in the Elkins Regional Convalescent Center, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2003, at the center.
She was born June 16, 1916, at Jenningston, a daughter of the late Cam and Gettie Mae Carr Wilfong.
On Oct. 5, 1934, she was married to Clyde Cave, who preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1973.
She is survived by two sons, Clyde “Gene” Cave of Elkins and Charles “Chuck” Cave of Dailey; and two daughters, Charlene L. Smith of Elkins and Carolyn L. Triber of Beverly. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Clarence and Carlin Cave; one daughter, Catherine Cave, three brothers, Howard, Russell and James Wilfong; and three sisters, Icie, Delphia and Oda Wilfong.
Mrs. Cave was a homemaker.
Friends may call at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Frank Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Valley Head Cemetery. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Cleo “Glee” Cave.   From 7 Mar 2003.
