1949Notes for DORSEY RAY JOHNSON:
Dorsey Ray (Duke) Johnson, 62, of RD 1, Valley Road, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital after an illness of three years.
Born at Hendricks, W. Va., he was a son of the late Jacob B. and Mary Jane (Wilfong) Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a retired yard foreman for the Baughman Construction Company. He was a member of the Church of God.
Surviving are his widow, Mary E. (Berg) Johnson; a son, Dorsey R. Johnson, Jr., Westminster; three daughters, Mrs. Maysel Zawaski and Mrs. Bonnie Twigg, both of Cumberland, and Mrs. Kathy Nesbitt, Pittsburgh; two brothers, Stanley, Potomac Park, and Walter Johnson, city; a half brother, Jasper Johnson, Parson; three sisters, Mrs. Della Mallow and Lena Johnson, both of Cumberland, and Mrs. Rosa Breedlove, Cresaptown, and seven grandchildren.
The body is at the George Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Tony B. Skeliche and Rev. George E. Baughman will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
