Ray Wilfong, son of Mrs. Lena Wilfong and the late Sampson Wilfong of Hambleton.
The single ring ceremony was solemnized in the First Methodist church in Hambleton Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Harold D Shifflet, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Parsons, officiating in the presence of the immediate families and several close friends of the couple.
The bride, given in marriage by her sister, Mrs. Felix Wilfong, wore a street length suit of light blue with which she wore navy blue accessories and a corsage of pink rose buds. Mrs. Felix Wilfong was attired in a street length two piece dress of green with beige accessories and a corsage of yellow rose buds. Lorenza Wilfong brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
Pvt. Wilfong served in Tunisia, Sicily, Rome-Aron, Souther France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He is authorized to wear the ETO ribbon with the six battle stars, the bronze arrowhead for the invasion of France, the Good Conduct medal and the pre-Pearl Harbor ribbon. For the present the will reside in Hambleton.
