CUMBERLAND -
Stanley Blaine Johnson, 85, of Potomac Park, Cumberland, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, at the Allegany County Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 3, 1913, in Red Creek, W.Va., he was the son of the late Jacob Boggs and Mary Jane (Wilfong) Johnson. He also was preceded in death by three brothers, Vincent, Dorsey and Daniel Johnson; and three sisters, Lena Johnson, Della Mallow and Rosie Breedlove .
Mr. Johnson was a heavy equipment operator for Cumberland Contracting and was a member of Living Stone Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are his wife, Mary B. (Simmons) Johnson; one son, Stanley Marvin Johnson, Sunrise, Fla.; one daughter, Erma R. Lynch and husband, George, Elyria, Ohio; four grandchildren, William S. Coleman and wife, Angelika, Security, Colo., Joseph D. Coleman, Fitchville, Ohio, Bruce A. Johnson and wife, Julie, Uniontown, Ohio, Judy E. Grubb and husband, Brian, North Lawrence, Ohio; and nine-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Living Stone Church of the Brethren on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy L. Monn officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Mary Blanche Johnson, 90, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at the Beverly Living Center of Cumberland.
Born Oct. 3, 1916, in Franklin, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Claude Amos and Lula Florence (Lambert) Simmons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Blaine Johnson; three brothers, Oscar, Roy and Edwin Simmons; four sisters, Ollie Simmons, Ruth McKenzie, Cornelia Hedrick and Mabel Robertson.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of Living Stone Church of the Brethren, Cumberland.
Surviving are one son, Stanley Marvin Johnson, of Bowling Green, Fla.; one daughter, Erma R. Lynch and husband, George, of Elba, Ala.; two sisters, Elva Breedlove, of Winchester, Va. and Retha Morris and husband, Robert, of Louisville, Ky.; five grandchildren, William S. Coleman and wife, Angelika, of Fountains, Colo., Joseph D. Coleman, of Elba, Bruce A. Johnson and wife, Carla, of Uniontown, Ohio, Judy E. Grubb and husband, Brian, of N. Lawrence, Ohio, Sheila M. Church and husband, Dave, of Mogadore, Ohio; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at Living Stone Church of the Brethren Saturday at 12 p.m. with Pastor Chester Fisher officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
