Kermit Willard Lambert, 74, a resident of Wymer, departed this life Sunday morning, Jan. 13, 2013, in Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. Death was unexpected and attributed to cardiac arrest.
He was born Thursday, March 31, 1938, at Wymer, a son of the late Luther Elam and Lena Bell Snyder Lambert.
On Nov. 14, 1960, at Oakland, Md., he was married to the former Sandra Sue Lindsay, who survives. They had celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Also surviving are one son, Steven Andrew Lambert of Wymer; three brothers, Raymond Lambert, of Louisville, Ohio, Tunney Lambert and wife, Louella, of East Canton, Ohio, and Hansel Lambert and wife, Hilda, of Ohio; two sisters, Permilla Reed of California, and Grace Tingler of Elkins; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were one son, Kevin Lambert; three brothers, Ernest, Blake and Dempsey Lambert; and one sister, Carrie Lambert.
He attended the schools of Harman, was a former employee of Allegheny Lumber Co., was a truck driver for the former W. H. Shield Fuel Co. and retired from Elkins Lumber Co. He attended Lambert Mennonit Church at Wymer.
The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Friday, Jan. 18, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Martin Hoover will officiate, and interment will follow in Lambert II Cemetery at Wymer.
