-------

This person is unrelated to my family but for the following:
1. My gg grandfather and gg grandmother [Hugh and Margaret Carter Brown] are buried on land that they used to own, but was called at one time, Grantham’s Field, since it was sold by the Brown family to the Grantham’s. I have pictures of an old tree where Hugh Brown and Margaret Carter Brown’s stones were laid up against.
2. My grandfather [Emulus Roy Brown] was possibly named after this Emulous Grantham
[ccs 2004]

Updated to above note: turns out that this Emulous Grantham was definitely related to my family as his mother was Mary Louisa Woodward, sister of Martha Woodward who married John Fulton Brown, the parents of my Grandfather, Emulus Roy Brown. [ccs]
