George Strine was the son of Mathias and Nancy Nine of Elkhart county, IN. John, James, and sister Mary were their children.
Believe sister Mary Alice married in Indiana. Half brother, Marion was taken in by farm couple when his father died and from there he went north. John went back to Indiana and James stayed in Round Prarie, IL. where he married Elizabeth Weyle.
Marion died in 1979 in Shelton, Wa. We still can't find Mathias Strine's death or burial or his daughter Merilla. Anna Potter his 4th wife was mother of Marion and Merilla.

Kathy
Hi, I am the caretaker of the cemetery at Kamiah, Idaho and I have some info about George Strine.

From the pages of the Kamiah Progress, Thursday, Sept 19 1918.

George Strine, a well known farmer of the section across the river, died last thursday morning following a lingering illness with tuberculosis. He was 56 years of age and a native of Northern Indiana. He came west 27 years ago, living first in the Palouse country and locating on his present ranch 18 years ago. He was married twice. two children by his first wife are living in Indianaand there are five children in the present family, four of whom will be cared for by theor uncle, Marion Strine. The funeral was held Sat. morning in the Johnson Undertaking Parlor, Rev Evans conducting the service. Burial was in the I.O.O.F Cemetery.

I had an article from the paper that had to do with Rena Strine. She married a Mr. Brown (?) who was sent to Prison for molesting her teenage daughter.

In Sept 1926, The paper printed the obituary of Mrs. Marion Strine, (Mary Phamphlet) She is also buried her at Kamiah. I am not sure what happened to Marion and I believe that Rena left the area after Mr. Brown was sent to prison.

If there is any way I can help other then this, let me know.

Looking for information on the date and place of death/burial of Rena Morris Strine. She was married to George Strine in the early 1900's in Washington or Idaho. They lived near Orofino, Idaho in the 1920's or 1930's. Rena is the Daughter of Lewis Morris and Jenny Drugan Morris and was probably born in Nebraska, Missouri or Kansas. The Morris' moved from the mid-west at the turn of 1900 to Conconully, Okanogan County, Washington. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
