David W. Joki, 76, of 1118 Carr St., passed away the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, in Jameson Hospital. Born Dec. 2, 1933, in New Castle, he was the son of Eli and Ida Lampi Joki. He married Lois M. Bowden on Jan. 24, 1969. She survives in New Castle. He was a 1951 graduate of Shenango High School. David worked in the mold shop at Universal Rundle. He was a member of Neshannock Presbyterian Church, where he served as a trustee. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and bowling. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Edwin Joki of Elizabeth, Pa.; and a sister, Elsie Yakubik of Youngstown, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Elmer Joki; and two sisters, Helen Moncrief and Martha Miller. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Neshannock Presbyterian Church, 154 Fairground Road, New Castle, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Rev. Gary Waguespack will officiate. Burial will be in Neshannock Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
