Oscar Nelson Kline, age 99 of Circleville, WV, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Mr. Kline was born in Hamilton, WV on April 21, 1911, the son of the late Otto Franklin and Carrie E. Nelson Kline. He was married to Naomi Raines Kline, who preceded him in death on May 20, 1996. He was a Steel Mill Worker in Warren, OH and a Farmer. Mr. Kline was a WWII Army Veteran and was a member of the Boyer Hill Mennonite Church.
Mr. Kline is survived by: 4 Daughters, Leona Ruth Nelson of Durbin, WV, Nancy Sue Arbogast and Husband Paul of Green Bank, WV, Kitty Mae Sponaugle and Husband David of Circleville, Mary Ellen Vandevander and Husband Lonnie of Circleville; 2 Sons, Gilbert Wayne Kline of Timberville, VA, Danny Ray Kline and Wife Crystal of Riverton, WV; a Sister, Mildred Alt of Cabins, WV; 14 Grandchildren; 23 Great-Grandchildren; and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Oscar was preceded in death by: 2 Daughters, Carrie Prophet, Francis Ann Kline; 6 Brothers, Joseph, Hobert, Sedgie, Jacob, Austin, and Johnny.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 13, 2010, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Pastor James E. Helmuth will officiate funeral services on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV. Military graveside services will be conducted by Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to: Boyer Hill Mennonite Church, POB 4, Green Bank, WV 24944.
Oscar Nelson Kline was the great great grandson of Isaac and Catherine Pennington Nelson.
