Notes for Donna R. (Spouse 1)
Donna R. Snyder, 59, Lewiston
Tuesday, July 29, 2008
Donna Rae Snyder of Lewiston, devoted and much loved wife, mom and "Nama," lost her battle with cancer at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, July 26, 2008. She was 59.
Donna was born Nov. 4, 1948, to Delmar and Osie Anderson in Lewiston. She grew up with her five sisters and brothers in Headquarters, Idaho, and attended school in Pierce.
She met and married the love of her life, Steven B. Snyder, in Pierce and had two daughters, Nannette and Melissa.
Shortly after, they moved to Lewiston, where they raised their family and spent a happy life together, adding along the way two sons-in-law that were like her very own sons, Scott and Art, and five grandchildren, Brandon, Leanne, Kaytee, Steven and Daniel, who were all her greatest joy.
Donna's life was devoted to the people she loved. Her family was the most important thing to her, and she let them know it in the many big and small things she did for them. Taking care of people was her specialty. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family as often as possible. Sunday family barbecues and her yearly trips to California were among her favorites. Her family will always have a part of her in the blankets she enjoyed knitting and crocheting for them, and the beautiful doilies she made by the dozens.
Welcoming her home were her grandpa and grandma Thornton; uncle, Sandy; and daddy, Delmar Anderson, whom she could not wait to hug.
She will be missed by and forever a part of the hearts of her husband, Steve Snyder; daughters and sons-in-law, Nannette and Scott Stewart of Red Bluff, Calif., and Melissa and Art Lindquist of Genesee; and her grandchildren, Brandon Stewart, Leanne Stewart, Kaytee Lindquist, Steven Lindquist and Daniel Lindquist; her only "son," her beloved dog, Scruffy; mother, Osie Anderson; aunt, Mildred Johnson; brothers and sisters, Darlene and Bill Bolen, Dennis and Renee Anderson, Gary and Anna Anderson, and Bonnie and Frank Allen; along with many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
Come celebrate Donna's life with us at the graveside services to be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens, with a covered-dish dinner to follow at 1836 Alder Ct., Lewiston. Bring your favorite dish and share in the memories of Donna.
