William Carroll Parsons, sixth son of William W. and Hester W. Parsons was born on the homestead ; at an early age he lost his father and mother ; an older brother gave him a home until he could "paddle his own canoe." He migrated to California and engaged in the draying business and has been successful; he now resides in Salinas, California.
